Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team. This role owns all aspects of data collection to support model training, enabling high-quality datasets built through close collaboration between infrastructure, engineering, and research. You will identify new data sources, ingest them into our ingestion pipeline, and manage the cloud ingestion infrastructure on GCP using Terraform. You will work with scientists to improve cost, throughput, and data quality, shaping the AI team's dataset roadmap to power Speechify's next-generation consumer and enterprise products. Ideal candidates have a CS-related degree (BS/MS/PhD), 5+ years of software development experience, and proficiency with bash/Python in Linux, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code, plus experience with at least one major cloud provider (we use GCP). Web crawlers and large-scale data processing experience are a plus. The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and strong written and verbal communication skills.
