Speechify is seeking a Senior Windows Desktop Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML, with occasional C++ as needed. This is a remote-only role based in the United States.

What you’ll do: - Lead the design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop applications, ensuring cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), performance, memory efficiency, and maintainability. - Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase; drive accessibility efforts (UI Automation, keyboard navigation, screen reader support). - Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and the long-term roadmap for the Windows platform. - Take ownership of full feature lifecycles from conception to release and maintenance; diagnose and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and rendering issues. - Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions; communicate tradeoffs and align with cross-functional teams. - Contribute to CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, and deployment strategies for desktop applications.
