Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences Team. This role builds and maintains the foundational services and cross-platform SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. The successful candidate will design reliable APIs, craft scalable systems, and collaborate with product, design, and PM teams to deliver solutions. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, simplify scope to gain faster customer feedback, navigate UX and integration tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via a cross-platform SDK. - Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. - Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. An ideal candidate should have: - Systems thinking; end-to-end design and simplicity. - Speed and focus; able to move quickly in a high-growth, remote team. - Collaboration; ability to work with designers, marketers, and PMs. - Preferred Tech Stack: Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience OK. - Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
