This is a remote role and part of our consulting business, meaning you will be employed by Deploja and work with clients or on internal projects and assignments. Your Profile (Must-have): 5+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering; strong Java experience with a track record of building and operating production services or shared libraries; a solid understanding of distributed systems (service discovery, load balancing, and fault tolerance); experience operating production services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes (GKE), including deployment, observability, and incident response; experience with gRPC; familiarity with xDS, service meshes, or Envoy is a plus; strong debugging and performance skills in systems with many clients and dynamic fleet states; experience rolling out infrastructure changes safely across multiple teams or services; familiarity with authentication, mTLS, or workload identity is a plus; clear communication and ability to work effectively with remote teammates and partner teams.
