Gifthealth is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to own the analytical direction for a domain, define canonical metrics, determine authoritative data sources, and lead a small team of data analysts. This role partners with data engineering and BI to embed metric definitions in the dbt layer, ensures traceability of every headline number, and oversees sequencing of analysis, from business questions to actionable insights. You will manage two to three analysts, conduct 1:1s, review SQL and conclusions, and support growth and performance discussions. You will navigate complex data landscapes, tackle hard questions such as unexplained metric shifts, and ensure consistency of metrics across domains. The position requires deep SQL expertise, experience defining metrics, and the ability to explain findings to operations leads, account managers, and leadership. The role emphasizes PHI handling, HIPAA compliance, and working familiarity with healthcare data.
