Booksy is seeking an AI Native Software Engineer to join the People Technology team, reporting to the People Technology Manager. The purpose of this role is to explore what AI can do for our organization that no one has thought to ask yet—and then build it. This is a brand new role, so you will define much of what it becomes. You will experiment first, moving beyond AI that handles what we already know, and you will take concepts through to working proofs of concept. You will ship AI-first features from ideation to launch, focusing on agent-first approaches rather than simply retrofitting AI onto existing tools. You will work across Product and Tech, with mentorship from our engineering organization, and your career will be leveled there rather than siloed inside People & Culture. You will partner with experienced engineers, product managers and designers to bring features live. What we’re looking for: - Commercial experience in software engineering or a related technical role. - Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Gemini, Cursor) and understanding of agentic workflows and concepts like MCP. - Fluency in at least one modern language (Python or JavaScript). - A portfolio or project you can walk us through; we care more about what you have built than where you built it. - Fluency in English; English is the company language for business-wide communications. - Open-source contributions with a visible history are a plus. - Experience with agentic frameworks or MCP that goes beyond tutorials is a plus. - Exposure to Google Cloud is a plus.
