Vulnerability Management Analyst (Information Security) – Contract position based in Carlsbad, California. This hybrid role requires 2+ years of direct vulnerability management experience with hands-on work on enterprise vulnerability management platforms (Rapid7 InsightVM preferred, Tenable Nessus or Qualys acceptable). Responsibilities include scoping vulnerable technologies, assessing severity and impact, guiding remediation, coordinating with system owners and cross-functional teams, and producing actionable security intelligence through reports and alerts. The ideal candidate will have OS experience (Windows, macOS, Linux), scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, REST APIs), and strong knowledge of vulnerability scoring systems (CVSS v3/v4, EPSS), endpoint security tools (EDR like CrowdStrike or Defender for Endpoint), SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel), threat sharing platforms (MISP), and frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO27001.
