Technical Support Specialist I provides technical information and diagnostic support for the repair and maintenance of Kenwood Land Mobile radio products. This full-time, in-office position reports to the Manager of Technical Services and collaborates with dealers, service centers, manufacturers' sales representatives, sales staff, the order desk, and tuning personnel. Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to dealers, service centers, manufacturers' sales representatives, sales staff, order desk, and tuning personnel by answering customer calls and opening service tickets; explain product features, functions, and specifications from brochures, manuals, and help screens in both written and verbal formats. - Explain product programming, variations to meet end-user requirements, and troubleshoot programming data file problems; programming variations and troubleshooting are learned through experience with the product and software. - Explain product configurations based on labor instructions and manuals. - Explain product compatibility with other manufacturers’ products; knowledge comes from hands-on experience. - Use products and test equipment to replicate problems or analyze data to provide evidence of potential quality issues. - Work with end users and dealers to collect data, reproduce issues, and correct issues related to the product and the entire system.
