Staff Platform Engineer role at Focus is a hands-on technical leadership position responsible for designing, evolving, and governing internal enterprise platforms that accelerate delivery speed, ensure deployment safety, and improve operational reliability across complex, multi-vendor systems supporting tens of millions of American students and borrowers. Focus is a digital services firm delivering civic tech projects for state and federal agencies, including the Department of State, IRS, and Department of Education, modernizing legacy systems to improve outcomes for citizens.
