Staff Accountant II - Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in Breckenridge, Colorado. In this position you will serve as the financial architect of our development projects, partnering with construction teams to ensure accurate accounting, timely subcontractor payments, and a clean month-end close. You will own the construction accounts payable workflow in Procore and Sage Intacct—from invoice intake and coding to payments—while maintaining internal controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities include managing the full construction AP workflow in Procore (shared inbox, direct costs, and bid/invoice updates in both Procore and the accounting system); processing invoices for payment through weekly check runs and manual checks; researching vendor statements and resolving discrepancies; maintaining and improving AP procedures; supporting month-end close activities including reconciliations and accruals; reconciling Sage Intacct to project pro formas and preparing journal entries; maintaining cash controls related to construction AP; coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure current compliance documentation; supporting audits and compliance activities; vendor onboarding and 1099 processing; processing employee expense reimbursements; providing training and process improvements; documenting procedures to ensure consistent AP processing.
