Microsoft is seeking a Software Engineer II to join Copilot Studio’s AI Orchestration team in Redmond, Washington (Hybrid). The team leverages and optimizes generative AI models to perform actions, make decisions, create responses, and more within an agent. Our orchestration capabilities power millions of conversational and autonomous agents across Microsoft Copilot, Teams, IVR/voice products, power agents on the web, and more. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to determine user requirements, driving design documentation and dependency identification, building, debugging, refactoring, and maintaining high-quality code, designing experiments to evaluate changes, partnering with PMs to deliver project and release plans, acting as DRI and participating in on-call rotations, and proactively adopting technologies to improve reliability, performance, and observability. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of engineering experience with languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience, and the ability to meet Microsoft security screenings (Cloud Background Check).
