Squarepoint is seeking a Software Developer to join its Data Platform team in London, United Kingdom (on-site). The role focuses on designing, building, testing, and maintaining Python libraries, services, and, where appropriate, React frontends to support data pipelines used for trading, back-testing, and research. The Data Platform group manages the lifecycle of data used across trading, back-testing, and research, collaborating with quantitative researchers and technology teams to integrate, process, and serve data from a wide range of sources. As part of a team of Python developers, you will help design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure and tools that ensure speed, stability, observability, access control, and performance across the Squarepoint business. You will work closely with data operations and pipeline developers to improve development velocity and reduce technical debt, write and review technical documents, and provide production support during normal working hours. Must-haves include more than 4 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, strong Python skills, practical knowledge of data transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, HTTP APIs, AWS S3), and excellent communication abilities.
