You will connect the technical dots to converge rendering technology across our ecosystem, act as the technical anchor, and serve as the interface to management and product management. 3Shape is seeking a hands-on Software Architect to lead rendering across desktop, web, and mobile platforms in our Rendering area in Copenhagen. The role spans the company’s multi-platform portfolio, from high-end desktop applications to cloud services and mobile apps. You will connect the technical dots to converge rendering technology across our ecosystem, act as the technical anchor, and serve as the interface to management and product management. You will collaborate with rendering developers across teams, document the technical direction, and drive decisions and execution while writing and reviewing code daily.

What you’ll do: - Write and review rendering code for desktop, web/cloud, and mobile applications. - Manage and participate in the rendering community: facilitate discussions, assemble teams, drive decisions, and communicate progress. - Document and govern the rendering direction, balancing trade-offs and guiding the team toward the northern star. - Communicate with the rendering community, the broader developer audience, management, and product management; be the persistent voice of converged rendering.

What we’re looking for: - A technically grounded professional in rendering who writes and reviews code across desktop, web, and mobile stacks. - An architectural thinker who owns the technical architecture across platforms and plans ahead. - A pragmatic leader who balances tech debt, the north star vision, and urgent product needs. - A strong communicator who thrives in discussing technology and coordinating with product management.
