The SIM Test Engineer will work closely with Clinical Engineers and subject matter experts to test and improve the quality, safety, and reliability of Ion products by executing SIM procedures, analyzing data, and documenting results. Responsibilities include developing clinical workflow SIM tests that represent common use cases, performing tests in clinical and engineering environments, identifying and thoroughly documenting hardware and software anomalies, and creating summary reports to track testing progress. The role involves collaboration with engineering and manufacturing to improve design and reliability, participating in formal design verification by executing protocols, writing test reports, and logging anomalies when necessary. The candidate will perform sanity testing and release acceptance testing, present test results and strategy to stakeholders, provide in depth product demos, and assist with purchasing lab supplies as needed.
