Antech Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. This role designs, develops, and maintains embedded software and toolsets for the In-House Diagnostics group, with primary focus on embedded software for veterinary analytical devices. Responsibilities include on-device firmware, analytical algorithms, connectivity, GUI design, DevOps, manufacturing tools, and supporting customer-facing software. The position requires architecting and writing C++ code, conducting peer reviews, participating in project planning, and mentoring less experienced software engineers. Collaboration with project leadership and other engineering disciplines to develop software requirements, verification, and validation protocols is essential. Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience: minimum five years of professional software development; strong object-oriented C++ skills; embedded Linux; DevOps with Docker, GitLab CI; cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure); automated testing with mocks. Preferred: GUI development (Qt), Yocto, integration with LIMS/EHR; medical device or regulated field experience (IEC 62304 with FDA QSR or ISO 13485); knowledge of cybersecurity hardening. Travel: No travel. Working conditions: typical office environment with standard equipment and office-related tasks.
