The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil and mining, and this on-site role is based in Birmingham, Alabama. The position supports worksites across the assigned project area, with an average of 75% travel or temporary relocation to project sites. A vehicle allowance and fuel card are provided, and per diem is paid for travel expenses.

Saiia Construction, a MasTec company, is currently hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager for our Mining division. The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil and mining, and this on-site role is based in Birmingham, Alabama. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and staffing key field positions; establishing project objectives, policies and performance standards; initiating and maintaining liaison with clients, subcontractors and vendors to facilitate construction activities; monitoring progress to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget; providing supervision and/or technical direction to engineers, crafts, and the on-site superintendent as required; preparing field design change requests and as-built drawings; maintaining documentation such as status reports and punch lists; and coordinating material deliveries and subcontractor needs.

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field; 7–10 years of experience in a similar role; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook, as well as construction estimating software and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera; knowledge of civil engineering design and construction methods, mass grading, earthwork, st
