Senior Project Manager – Citywide Concrete Unit, New York City Department of Transportation (DOT)

Overview The Citywide Concrete Unit (CWC) within the NYC Department of Transportation supports the agency’s goal to enhance, rehabilitate, and maintain the City’s infrastructure. The Senior Project Manager will serve as one of the engineering team leads with a focus on Bus Stop Accessibility and Bus Priority Projects. The candidate will supervise, direct, and assign projects to a team of Assistant Civil Engineers, Project Managers, and Construction Project Managers who manage the construction of multiple Street Improvement Projects and oversee more than 2,000 citywide upgrades of pedestrian ramps annually to comply with ADA specifications. The role will lead site studies for in-house constructability of concrete bus pads, islands, medians, neckdowns, ped ramps, etc., and will direct and lead inspections for repairs to bus pads, curbs, sidewalks, ped-ramps, ped islands, cobblestones, and stepped streets. The candidate will engage in complex structural investigations of retaining walls, drainage condition assessments and remediation, and bridge/utility vault condition assessments in relation to excavation activities nearby.
