Verkada is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our cloud-managed access control product team. This role focuses on delivering an enterprise-grade UI for managing doors, schedules, and user credentials from laptops or mobile devices. Working as part of a small, autonomous startup within Verkada, you will collaborate with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers to build end-to-end solutions for access control. What you'll do: contribute to building best-in-class product experiences rather than just features; take a less-than-fully-fleshed product idea and drive it to completion. What you bring: 7+ years of industry software engineering experience; mastery of JavaScript (scoping, closures, contexts, prototypes, classes) and expert use of React; strong architectural understanding of custom components, UI, and cross-browser compatibility; eye for design, product detail, and polish; understanding of HTTP and practical debugging techniques; working knowledge of at least one server-side framework and one database system; degree in Computer Science or related engineering field; willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week.
