Senior Deployed Software Engineer, Imaging Interfaces team at Anduril Industries, Lexington, Massachusetts. You will own the health and uptime of fielded imaging systems, triage issues across the full stack (software, firmware, networking, and hardware), and serve as a technical representative for integrations with external teams and customers. Responsibilities include building and maintaining production services on edge devices in austere environments, diagnosing issues remotely or on-site, and supporting field operations through clear communication with operators and non-technical users. You will collaborate with firmware, hardware, and platform engineers to plan, build, and test complex functionality, and maintain broad end-to-end system understanding to ensure graceful degradation when components fail. Travel ~15% for field testing and customer integrations. Requirements include 5+ years of software development with production responsibility, strong Python and C++, and 5+ years of Linux-based experience (including bare-metal environments). You should be able to diagnose issues across system boundaries and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with gRPC, observability on Linux, React/JSX UI work, Nix/NixOS, and prior experience supporting fielded or deployed systems. Salary range: $191,000–$253,000 USD.
