We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer II to join our Security Engineering team as a senior individual contributor and technical leader for cloud security. This role advances our Senior Cloud Security Engineer position by defining standards and reference patterns, leading cross-team security initiatives end to end, tackling ambiguous problems, and mentoring others to raise the bar for the team. You will focus deeply on secure architecture and threat modeling, detection engineering and incident response, and Kubernetes and platform security, shaping Braze's cloud security practices across Engineering. This is a pure IC role; leadership comes from technical depth and influence rather than people management.
