About the role

Join Dedalus, a leading healthcare technology company, in Trier, Germany, as a Senior Backend Developer – Test Automation. You will take functional and/or non-functional lead for the implementation of medical and administrative applications, as well as reusable components within the ORBIS and ORBIS U platforms. This role involves anticipating the technological evolution of the product, supporting and guiding multiple R&D teams at different sites, and collaborating with platform architects.

Responsibilities

Design and implement state-of-the-art, responsive applications within the ORBIS U framework and integrated with the Java and CPL frameworks.
Deliver reusable application components.
Define and design new products and perform incremental enhancements to current products.
Prepare and conduct user testing with product managers.
Perform design and architectural reviews to evaluate and iterate designs.
Work with local and international product teams.

Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or information systems or equivalent work experience.
Strong knowledge of Java, Jakarta Enterprise, and WildFly.
Solid experience with Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Practical experience in developing enterprise applications.
Experience in setting up CI environments.
Enthusiasm for modern technologies.
Strong written and spoken English skills.
