The Sandblaster Team Lead oversees sandblasting and surface preparation operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency. This position leads a team of blast operators, supports production and assembly activities, and ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Team Lead promotes continuous improvement, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and fosters positive relationships across the organization. Responsibilities include training and mentoring staff, managing daily priorities to keep work flowing, staging parts, inventory control, burr removal, and ensuring parts meet specifications. The role enforces safety procedures, PPE usage, 5S, and regulatory compliance, and maintains a clean, organized workspace. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in manufacturing or production; leadership experience; strong understanding of sandblasting techniques and materials; familiarity with ERP systems (PLEX preferred); ability to work independently and communicate effectively; and willingness to obtain an overhead crane permit. Working conditions involve standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, exposure to noise and equipment, and use of PPE per OSHA standards. Equal opportunity employer statements apply.
