Software Engineer - Pirate & Architect

We are seeking a Software Engineer who can move beyond ticket-based work and quickly take ownership of complex projects. The role emphasizes rapid AI-assisted design, prototyping, and coding, while maintaining strict architectural discipline. You will strive to deliver fast, well-structured software with clear documentation of design decisions.

As an Architect, you will define software blueprints, think in terms of systems, apply proven design patterns, and lead architectural decisions. You will design cloud-native architectures and conduct thorough code reviews, with a focus on clean structure and scalable infrastructure. You will balance speed with long-term maintainability, and ensure a coherent approach across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

Tasks - Build and maintain AI agentic workflows on industry-standard frameworks with architectural discipline - Build and maintain data processing pipelines: ingestion, transformation and enrichment of customer data, with reliability and observability - Ship features end-to-end: React frontend, Python backend, and AWS infrastructure - Implement quality controls: evaluation, tracing, and budgets for latency and cost, to catch regressions early - Integrate with customers' systems using real enterprise data, often messy and unique

Requirements - Multiple years of experience as a software engineer with ownership of architecture decisions - Practical experience with AI-assisted development (not just a single trial) - Understanding of cloud-native architecture, ideally AWS - End-to-end cap
