Responsibilities include supporting Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), continuous improvement, and statistical process control; conducting design reviews for inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements; developing and managing data and metrics to drive product and process improvements and reduce the cost of poor quality; performing product quality and quality management system reviews to ensure compliance with drawings, work instructions, and internal ISO 9001/AS9100 and regulatory requirements; analyzing failures to determine root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions; applying risk management; managing supplier quality flow-down requirements and acting as the Voice of the Customer for supplier quality activities; representing Quality on the Material Review Board (MRB) and Engineering Change Actions; participating in continual improvement activities (5S, Kaizen, lean methods); employing mistake-proofing techniques; coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure transfer to Production; adhering to Joby policies and procedures; working under general direction and developing approaches to solutions; reviewing internal and supplier First Article Inspections; and liaising with cross-functional teams.
