The CNN Ad Experience team sits at the intersection of user experience and the company’s primary financial engine, unifying ad UX across desktop web, mobile web, mobile apps, and video surfaces to deliver relevant, timely, and respectful ads powered by first-party data. The Product Designer II is a strong critical thinker who balances business and user needs and acts as the design lead for new projects, partnering with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, and data scientists to shape the future of CNN’s digital products.
Your role: - Be an integral part of the product design team evolving CNN’s advertising products across desktop, mobile web, mobile apps, and video surfaces. - Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to conceptualize product features. - Lead user research sessions and usability testing to understand our consumers. - Develop and maintain components for our design system. - Champion design principles, design systems, and the product roadmap; support editorial teams’ needs. - Collaborate with stakeholders to brainstorm, envision, and validate new ad products and footprints that support monetization.
Qualifications & Experience: - 2+ years as a product designer, ideally in ad tech, marketing tech, or growth design. - Strong Figma experience, including components, styles, and shared libraries. - Track record of product thinking and cross-functional collaboration. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Experience using design
