The team supports strategy, metrics, and product changes that improve early experiences for our users, with a focus on turning science into better decisions at YouTube.

Key responsibilities include: - Engaging with stakeholders across cross-functional projects to clarify business questions and translate them into tractable analyses, metrics, or models. - Designing and evaluating models using data infrastructure and existing models to solve defined problems. - Collaborating with engineering and product teams to create new metrics, maintain classifiers, enable insights, and drive data-driven decisions. - Gathering, cleansing, and preparing data from multiple sources using SQL, Python, and R; ensuring data quality for analysis. - Supporting product launch decisions through experimental design and analysis.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or related quantitative field. - 5 years of analytics experience solving product or business problems with statistical analysis and coding (Python, R, SQL), or 2 years with a Master's degree. - Experience with running experiments or experimental design. - Preferred: experience with distributed computing (R or Python) and user funnel analysis/measuring casual to core usage.
