The Principal QA Engineer will lead Quality Assurance activities across transformation programmes, projects, and technology releases, combining hands-on testing with test leadership. As a quality advocate, you will drive test strategy, promote best practices, and ensure robust, scalable testing across the delivery lifecycle. You will collaborate with Business, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to embed quality throughout delivery and align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Lead QA activities across programmes and projects to ensure high-quality delivery
Define, prepare, and maintain Test Plans and Test Approaches
Provide accurate test estimates, progress reporting, and status visibility
Manage defects, risks, and issues impacting delivery
Execute complex test cases across functional and non-functional areas
Contribute to automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Support integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing within Agile delivery
Ensure test evidence is documented and aligned with governance standards
Advocate QA best practices and continuously improve QA processes, tooling, and methodologies
Drive adoption of automation and modern testing techniques
Act as QA SME for a Business Unit or domain and lead QA representation within squads
Engage stakeholders to align scope and quality; collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and SMEs
Ensure test environments are ready and stable; resolve blockers; conduct testing in f
