About the role

Sunward Credit Union is seeking a Corporate Finance Manager to lead the corporate finance function, including mergers and acquisitions, debt issuance, investment portfolio management, and balance sheet strategy. This role partners with the executive team and the Board to translate the strategic plan into financial frameworks, scenarios, and recommendations that inform decision-making and support Sunward's growth and financial strength. The position owns the development and maintenance of analytical reporting tools and dashboards, and provides ALCO support across asset/liability management, liquidity, and funding strategies. You will work cross-functionally with Accounting, Treasury, Risk, and Strategy to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Sunward Credit Union is seeking a Corporate Finance Manager to lead the corporate finance function, including mergers and acquisitions, debt issuance, investment portfolio management, and balance sheet strategy. The position owns the development and maintenance of analytical reporting tools and dashboards, and provides ALCO support across asset/liability management, liquidity, and funding strategies. You will work cross-functionally with Accounting, Treasury, Risk, and Strategy to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead the evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities, including financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and integration planning.
Manage debt issuance and capital markets activity, including borrowings and counterparty relationships.
Oversee investment portfolio strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with policy, liquidity requirements, interest rate risk tolerance, and earnings objectives.
Drive balance sheet strategy and optimization, including capital planning, funding strategy, and risk/return trade-offs.
Support market expansion through financial analysis, business cases, market sizing, and post-launch performance tracking.
Develop, enhance, and own analytical reporting tools, dashboards, and models across the corporate finance function;
