National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD)
Overview: The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the organization’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and federal grant compliance. This senior finance leader will ensure GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards (ASC 958) are rigorously applied, manage external audits, and provide strategic financial guidance to leadership. Given NACDD’s substantial reliance on federal funding, the Controller will bring deep expertise in federal grant accounting, cost allocation, indirect cost rate development, and compliance with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requirements. The role reports to the Interim CEO and will work closely with the Fractional CFO, with a path to reporting to a permanent CFO.

Duties: Oversee day-to-day accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger), prepare timely monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit standards (ASC 958), and develop the annual operating budget in partnership with senior leadership. Ensure full compliance with 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) for all federal awards, develop and maintain the Federal Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement, monitor expenditures against federal budgets, maintain documentation of allowable costs and cost allocations, track period of performance for federal awards, and serve as the primary financial liaison to federal program officers and auditors. Coordinate the organization’s Single Audit and SEFA, supervise external auditors, implement corrective action plans
