iudexnc AG (Iudex Non Calculat) is a pre-seed AI startup based in Zurich, Switzerland, building cognitive infrastructure that automates coverage checks and case handling for legal insurers. We are seeking a third co-founder who will own engineering and infrastructure end-to-end. Role: Co-Founder and CTO. You will lead the engineering function and the infrastructure, shipping production systems at meaningful scale and partnering with the CEO and commercial co-founder to unlock growth. Responsibilities include designing data pipelines for insurance policy documents and case descriptions, AI-ready structuring, development of agentic LLM workflows for coverage analysis, search and retrieval, evaluation pipelines, and building observable, reliable systems. You will work closely with domain experts, document decisions, and share learnings clearly. On-site in Zurich, with collaboration across Western Europe. Requirements: Strong systems engineering and applied AI background with a track record of shipping production systems that handle real data at scale. Demonstrated technical leadership at ex-staff/principal level or as a founding engineer/CTO at a B2B AI or infrastructure startup. Product sense, high agency, and comfort with ambiguity. Based in or willing to relocate to Zurich/Western Europe. Fluent in English; German is a plus. Experience in regulated industries (insurance, finance) and in LLM systems, retrieval, or multi-cloud/multi-tenant infrastructure is preferred.
