JAPANMART is seeking a Barista Team Lead to support daily operations for our cooked foods and drinks section at the Arcadia, CA location (1107 S Baldwin Ave Ste. B, Arcadia, CA 91007). This full-time role (36-40 hours per week) involves supervising baristas and kitchen team members, assisting with food preparation and beverage crafting, ensuring quality and timely service, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking items such as soufflé pancakes, following brand recipes and standards, supporting store leadership, assisting with P&L analysis, ensuring proper portion control and presentation, maintaining speed during peak hours, upholding food safety regulations and sanitation, managing inventory and restocking, and assisting with opening and closing procedures. The role requires effective teamwork and communication, a friendly professional demeanor, and a willingness to support daily operations across the team. Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in food & beverage operations or retail, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), ability to read and analyze P&L reports, cash handling experience, strong communication and collaboration skills, reliability and strong work ethic, ability to stand for extended periods, English fluency, and a preference for bilingual English/Japanese.
