Civica is seeking a Security Engineer to protect the organization’s digital and physical assets across multiple regions, with remote work available in the United Kingdom. You will respond to escalated security incidents, implement and maintain security systems (SIEM, data loss prevention, antivirus/antimalware and XDR), coordinate threat and vulnerability remediation, and produce regular security reports for management. You will work with IT and business teams to safeguard systems and data, manage remediation plans based on proactive scanning, and provide out-of-hours support for major incidents when required. The role emphasizes change control and documentation standards, collaboration with colleagues and customers, and mentoring fellow team members to spread security knowledge within the Technology Centre. You will help develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards while staying current with security trends and technologies. Expertise with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), networking, virtualization, Windows Server environments, and DevOps practices is highly valued, as is experience in security operations centres and governance of AI usage in a corporate setting.
