Lucid Motors is seeking a Vehicle Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional teams and guide the design, attributes, and cost targets for our electric vehicle programs. The role based in Phoenix, Arizona, United States is an on-site position that reports to the Vehicle Line Director for a specific vehicle program and serves as a decision maker for concept freezes, engineering changes, and sourcing, while partnering with the Chief Engineering team to align on vehicle direction. Responsibilities include pulling teams together to develop concepts from a blank canvas to proposed architectures, leading system- and vehicle-level benchmarking, and rapidly CAD/sketching components across Body-In-White, closures, suspension, interiors, exteriors, seating, high voltage, low voltage, and packaging. You will represent the Chief Engineer in design reviews and change control meetings, evaluate manufacturing methods for optimal weight, attributes, and cost, and work with stakeholders across Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Craftsmanship, Styling, and Manufacturing. The role requires managing multiple complex projects in a demanding environment. Qualifications include proven engineering excellence in design, knowledge of mechanisms, strong understanding of physics and materials science, hands-on experience with prototype and vehicle assembly or service, and a desire to create state-of-the-art engineering products as part of a capable team. Candidates should have experience with manufacturing processes (extrusions, castings, stampings), willingness to travel domestically
