Lion Country Safari is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our on-site finance team in Loxahatchee Groves, Florida. The successful candidate will handle cash and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and posting general ledger entries and reconciliations. Additional duties include assisting with annual audits, state and local tax filings, and related data analysis. Responsibilities also cover processing monthly payroll-related forms (W-2, 1095-C) for accuracy, preparing and filing 1099-NEC forms for qualified vendors, posting deposits and withdrawals, performing monthly bank reconciliations, and managing related tax returns (sales tax, tourist tax, public service tax). Other duties include maintaining petty cash, fuel inventory, records retention, and supporting accounts payable as needed. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree with at least two years of related experience, knowledge of GAAP, strong written and verbal communication, time management, proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel), NetSuite a plus, and a valid Florida driver’s license.
