Alarm.com / EBS Sp. z o.o. is seeking a Software Engineer I to join the Video Engineering team in Krakow, Poland. This role focuses on streaming technologies across video monitoring and real-time media pipelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work on the video path—real-time streaming protocols and multimedia pipelines that carry live and recorded video from cameras to users—and you will have the opportunity to work across multiple technical areas using the latest technologies in an Agile development setting. Responsibilities include designing, implementing and testing new software features across video streaming services and media pipelines, working with real-time streaming protocols such as RTSP, RTP and WebRTC, and with multimedia frameworks like GStreamer, to deliver live and recorded video reliably. You will help investigate and resolve streaming issues across the delivery path (connectivity, NAT traversal, latency, stream quality), innovate and improve existing products, analyze requirements, research and integrate new technologies, take ownership of projects to meet deadlines, and collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop robust test plans. Other duties as assigned. Requirements include 0+ years of experience and a BS in Computer Science or a related field, solid programming skills in C or C++, understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP, sockets, NAT traversal), exposure to real‑time media streaming protocols (RTSP, RTP, WebRTC including ICE/TURN), exposure to multimedia frameworks (GStreamer or FFmpeg), strong English communication s
