Senior Robotics Software Engineer (C++) is sought to help evolve a production-ready unmanned systems platform at sees.ai. This is a systems-focused role spanning the core software stack, from flight and mission control to autonomy algorithms, simulation, connectivity, and operator interfaces. You will work on software that directly impacts field behavior, with a short feedback loop between development and real-world use. The position is based in London, United Kingdom and offers a hybrid work arrangement. You will develop and maintain features across the unmanned systems software stack, including flight and mission control, autonomy algorithms (path planning, obstacle avoidance), pilot interfaces with 3D visualization, connectivity between drones and control systems, simulation and testing environments, and reliability improvements through testing and documentation. You’ll contribute to architecture and technical direction as we scale, balance hands-on development with longer-term design, and collaborate with operations and integration teams to deploy and validate software in live environments. Requirements include strong experience in modern C++ in production systems, solid software design and debugging skills for complex systems, exposure to robotics/autonomous systems (control systems, sensor fusion, path planning), and Linux experience. Nice-to-haves include Python tooling, simulation environments, networking or distributed systems knowledge, experience with CMake or similar build systems, and a background in robotics, embedded systems, or real-world autonomous platform
