Senior Product Engineer (Python) based in Sofia, Bulgaria, with hybrid work arrangement. Infinite Lambda is Europe’s fastest-growing data and AI consultancy, headquartered in London with distributed teams across the UK, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Singapore, Italy, Romania, and expanding to South America. The role supports Flowline, a high-impact product, across the full stack, using agentic workflows as the default implementation tool while ensuring human ownership of the code. A core focus is becoming a modernisation specialist, mapping legacy systems (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, IICS) to modern data stacks (dbt, Fivetran, and cloud data warehouses). The anticipated start date is January 2027 onward. Location: Sofia, Bulgaria, hybrid.

What you’ll do: Implement across backend, frontend, the IDE extension, and conversion logic in Python or other languages we adopt. Ship features against the spec using agents as the default tool, and write the specs themselves for simpler features. Develop deep knowledge of modernization: mapping Informatica, SSIS, Talend and IICS to dbt, Fivetran and the warehouse. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the code you merge, explain every line, catch plausible but wrong output and drift from the spec to prevent the agent from misbehaving. Write tests from acceptance criteria first; no test, no PR. Log agent failure modes in the team’s backlog.

Expectations and KPIs: Throughput per sprint, target at least 90% of PRs meeting acceptance criteria after three months, measure change failure rate at UAT and production, ensure c
