Altruist is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to secure our multi-account AWS and Kubernetes environment. You will build guardrails and controls to keep our cloud platform hardened as we scale. This hybrid role requires three days on-site in our San Francisco FiDi or Culver City offices.

Harden our AWS environment (IAM, org/SCPs, KMS, networking)
Build cloud guardrails as code
Own cloud vulnerability and exposure management
Partner with Detection & Response on investigations for cloud-origin events
4+ years of cloud security engineering experience
Hands-on security experience with AWS (IAM, org/SCPs, KMS, networking) and Kubernetes/EKS
Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CSPM tooling (e.g., Wiz)
Scripting and automation (Python/Go)
BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with modern tech stacks (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD)
Strong ownership, communication, resilience, and problem-solving
Bonus: experience in regulated fintech environments and relevant certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CKS)
