Deacon Construction is seeking a driven Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of commercial projects from our Portland, Oregon office. The successful candidate will manage projects from award through close-out, ensuring budgets are maintained, schedules are kept on track, and clients are informed at every stage. You will partner with Superintendents to deliver projects safely, on time, and profitably while upholding Deacon’s core values of Integrity, Teamwork, and Commitment to Excellence.

Key Responsibilities: - Financial performance: develop budgets, track cost codes, approve invoices, and protect positive margins. - Schedule management: collaborate with Superintendents to build and maintain the master schedule; issue look-ahead updates and recovery plans. - Contract administration: negotiate subcontracts, ensure compliance with scopes, specs, and owner contracts. - Client and partner relations: cultivate long-term relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners; provide transparent, timely reporting. - Team leadership: manage, train, and supervise project engineers and coordinators; foster a collaborative, accountable atmosphere. - Risk and quality: drive RFIs, submittals, change orders, and quality-control processes; coordinate inspections and testing. - Close-out: compile as-builts, warranties, O&M manuals, and final accounting to ensure a smooth hand-off.
