The role focuses on securing Esri's applications across multiple languages and platforms, partnering with development, DevSecOps, and information security teams to build security in up front, perform application layer security testing, and help developers remediate vulnerabilities. Responsibilities include designing, operating, and continuously improving application security testing capabilities and pipelines; assessing application risks and recommending mitigations; conducting application layer security reviews; performing application layer penetration testing; and providing security guidance and mentorship to development teams. Requirements include 8+ years of experience in application security (manual and automated code reviews, dynamic testing, penetration testing, and vulnerability management), experience with risk assessment using a consistent framework, and the ability to develop automations using Python, TypeScript, Java, or PowerShell. Experience with GitHub Actions, Kubernetes security, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is preferred. US citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a US security clearance are required.
