Heritage Growers, a program of River Partners, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead all accounting and financial operations for the Heritage Growers program from Sacramento. The role reports to the River Partners Director of Finance and collaborates with the Heritage Growers General Manager and River Partners’ Finance and Administration team to support budgeting, grants, financial reporting, and inventory costing. Responsibilities include overseeing all accounting functions (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations), preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and budget-to-actual analyses, ensuring GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards (FASB 958) and ASC 606/842 compliance, managing grants and program funding, tracking inventory and depreciation, and providing effective financial stewardship. This position develops budgets, monitors costs, reviews grants, generates invoices, and supports strategic decision-making, with supervision of one Project Analyst. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred), 5+ years nonprofit accounting experience, proficiency with QuickBooks or Sage Intacct and Excel, and strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit reporting; experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, MS SharePoint, and Power BI is a plus.
