Environmental Health and Safety NPI Technical Program Manager

About the job: Google seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, planning requirements, identifying risks, managing project schedules, and communicating with cross-functional partners. You will explain analyses and recommendations to executives and discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers. The EHS NPI team ensures safety is built into new platforms and other products entering Google data centers, identifying and mitigating safety and ergonomic risks across the product lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of program management experience. - 2 years of experience in product design, or 1 year with an advanced degree. - Experience in product/hardware platform design safety.

Preferred Qualifications: - 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. - Ability to understand new equipment quickly, creative problem solving, and thinking outside the box. - Applied project management skills with ability to create workable project plans with scope and execution. - Strong communication and presentation skills, data quality troubleshooting and problem solving, collaboration, and experience working with executives and cross-functional teams. - Data-driven problem solving and ability to analyze large data sets to support hypotheses and develop actionable recommendations.
