About the role

Vertiv is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The role designs, implements, and operates cloud platform capabilities that enable secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, GitOps, observability, platform reliability, and developer enablement. You will work closely with Software Engineering, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Operations to establish standardized delivery and operational practices, improve platform resilience, and enable product teams to deploy and troubleshoot services with greater independence.

Responsibilities

DevOps ownership: design, build, maintain, and continuously improve Kubernetes-based platforms, including Azure Kubernetes Service; define reusable platform services, deployment blueprints, and standards.
Infrastructure as code: develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform; convert manual or partially automated activities into version-controlled, reproducible deployments; support environment recovery and reduce configuration drift.
CI/CD and GitOps: design, maintain, and improve GitLab pipelines; implement GitOps deployment practices including configuration promotion, deployment validation, synchronization, rollback, and release governance.
Observability and reliability: implement monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting using Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Loki, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and OpenTelemetry; establish actionable service and platform health indicators.
