The successful candidate will collaborate with business segments to extract analytical, behavioral and predictive insights, apply statistical and programmatic techniques, and translate business needs into actionable resources. The Data Scientist will design, develop, and maintain analytical models for production use, explore internal and external data sources, and deploy models using agile methodologies. Proficiency in Python and R, Linux, and experience with machine learning, data mining, and data warehousing is required. This role is based in South Ogden, Utah, United States with a Hybrid work arrangement (in-office and remote). Must reside in one of the following states: AZ, CA, HI, ID, IA, MI, NV, NH, NJ, NM, OR, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA.

Responsibilities include developing models and processes to support analytic needs, implementing models such as churn prediction, customer lifetime value, and recommender systems, and building lightweight reporting to track model outcomes. The Data Scientist will pilot proofs of concept, extract data from various information systems, educate business users about model concepts, and prepare presentations and trainings to increase understanding of statistics and model implementation. The role maintains analytics as a competency center and works with the analytics information manager to interpret results, present insights, and conduct what-if analyses
