Summary: The Controller will join St. Jude’s Ranch for Children at an important stage in developing its finance function and will lead efforts to strengthen accounting processes, financial controls, reporting, and the organization’s ability to manage its financial position. The organization operates with multiple funding streams, government and private grants, donor-restricted funds, investment and endowment activity, and related compliance requirements. The finance function supports detailed grant tracking, multi-entity reporting, regulatory audits, and active cash flow management. Essential functions: Direct and supervise assigned staff, coordinate tasks, recruit and evaluate personnel, and manage performance. Develop and implement goals, policies, procedures and work standards; manage the department’s budget. Collaborate with management on financial programs, policies, and initiatives; actively manage cash flow forecasts, receivables, grant reimbursement timing, restricted cash, and anticipated expenditures. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy revisions. Audit books and records; prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders; oversee payroll and financial statements.
