We are seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant based in Sofia, Bulgaria, to ensure the timely processing of accounts payable and maintain data accuracy in line with established SLAs for the Finance function. You will contribute to the processing of supplier invoices with a focus on meeting payment terms and avoiding late payments, support accurate financial statements and cutoffs, and ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. Key responsibilities include master data maintenance for suppliers and employees, managing the invoicing system (e.g., Comarch, OCR, ECM), coordinating with suppliers and ECM users, processing AP invoices (receipts, scanning, validation, and posting in the ERP), handling OCR-based invoice receipt, verification and posting (regular invoices, back margins, intercompany, advance payments, OEM subcontractors, blocked invoices), and supporting closing and reporting activities (reconciliations, aging, intercompany reconciliation, and prevention of double payments). You will deliver to agreed SLAs regarding time and accuracy, and implement GBS Accounts Payable policies and procedures. Requirements: Accounting degree; minimum 3 years in a similar function; proficiency with Excel and Word; strong teamwork and communication; English language proficiency (additional languages a plus); hands-on, meticulous, and able to respect deadlines.
