As a self-employed SumUp Field Sales Partner, you will build your own business with the backing of a leading fintech brand. You will represent SumUp’s payments technology to merchants, creating a recurring income stream tied to your performance. The compensation is 100% commission-based, with an upfront commission of 50% of the contract value (average upfront around €500) and 25% lifetime residuals on the transaction volume of every merchant you sign, paid monthly for up to five years. To support your early growth, residuals can be enhanced by up to 3× during the first three months. Additional direct commissions are earned on every card reader sold, with hardware and software incentives. Earnings benchmarks show that a substantial portion of partners earn €7,000+ per month, with top performers earning well beyond that.

Daily activities include prospecting at least 30 local SMEs per day through face-to-face visits and outbound outreach, targeting retailers, restaurants, cafes, beauty salons, and more. You will analyze each merchant’s current payment setup, present SumUp’s ecosystem — payments, POS, and operations — as the best long-term solution, and manage your designated territory while being free to generate business within Ireland. You will hold meaningful conversations, build relationships as the local payments expert, and work toward onboarding merchants with hardware installation.
