Remote Director of IT & Software Engineering who leads the organization’s software engineering, IT infrastructure, applications, integrations, and IT initiatives. This strategic and hands-on technology leader partners with executive leadership and business stakeholders to translate organizational needs into scalable, secure solutions across the full technology lifecycle—from architecture and development to deployment, support, security, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include owning projects end-to-end (design, development, deployment, and ongoing support); building and maintaining backend systems and APIs; integrating with third-party platforms; developing automation workflows; collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions; managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment; and contributing to system architecture and technical decision-making.

Required qualifications: strong backend engineering experience (Python preferred); experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.); solid understanding of REST APIs and system integrations; experience with automation, scripting, and process optimization; ability to manage multiple projects and deliver independently; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
