Role Overview: The Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (London) leads a globally distributed team of SRE professionals with expertise spanning software development, systems, networks, application, and database management. Based in London, this role provides direct platform support for Cboe's European operations while overseeing SRE staff across Europe and APAC to ensure continuous, low-latency operation of Cboe's trading platforms around the clock.
Major Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & System Availability: Provide technical leadership, oversight, and operational support to sustain resiliency and high availability of critical business operations across European and GTH market sessions. Monitor production, disaster recovery, and certification systems; troubleshoot issues; analyze and optimize performance; oversee daily system checks; assist build/deployment teams. People Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports across European and APAC time zones; implement agile processes (Kanban and Scrum) to actively manage workloads; foster collaboration; support training and development to build a best-in-class SRE team; set objectives and liaise with management and other functions. Platform Configuration Management & Project Oversight: Develop and manage operational initiatives; translate functional plans into operational processes; provide project management support for updates to platforms; manage configuration of trading platforms and support new features; while primary focus is on bare-metal on-premises infrastructure, cloud platform
