Chromalloy is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to work on the shop floor in Carson City, Nevada, United States. This hands-on quality role partners with production, engineering, and operations to identify issues, drive root cause investigations, implement corrective and preventive actions, and improve yields while reducing scrap on critical aerospace components. You will lead root cause investigations using 8D, RCCA, SPC, and other problem-solving methodologies; analyze process and inspection data; interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements; support MRB activities and nonconformance investigations; and collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, with strong RCCA/8D expertise and experience using SPC and statistical tools. Preferred qualifications include aerospace manufacturing experience, familiarity with regulatory quality systems (e.g., AS9100, FAA), Six Sigma Green Belt, and experience with yield improvement, scrap reduction, and process optimization. The position may require extended hours to meet operational needs.
